Social media and digital media, in general, are fast and always evolving platforms that require a lot of continuous education. But you already knew that, since that’s probably what led you to this blog. Attending Social Media Week Austin (SMWATX) last month gave me the opportunity to step away from my computer screen and have real-life conversations with industry thought leaders.
Often times, social media is overlooked for B2B marketing. That is a grave mistake. When used to establish thought-leadership, your social media profiles can be your most valuable tools.
Despite all of the negative press, and Facebook’s moves to protect consumers’ data, it is still a necessary platform to advertise on. You just have to adjust your strategy.
The way viewers consume videos on TV is completely different than how they consume it on Facebook, and how they consume it on Facebook could be completely different than how they consume it on another social media platform. This is why it's important to put consumer experience first when creating your video ads, and I have identified three key considerations for doing so.
Everybody’s doing it. Social media that is. But not everybody is doing it right. I’ve come up with three questions that, once answered, will give you nearly all the insight you need to come up with a killer social media strategy. And no, just posting updates and funny memes is not a strategy.
