Have you heard the latest in the eXciting world of social media? Elon Musk, owner of Twitter, aXed the Twitter name and logo for the new X brand. See what we did there?
Musk tweeted, “And soon we shall bid adieu to the Twitter brand and, gradually, all the birds.”
Has this been his plan the whole time? One of Musk's early companies was an online bank called X.com and now that domain redirects to the new Twitter.com or X.
We have so many questions about the roll out and what that means for Twitter lingo. For example, what are tweets called now? How does the new branding translate? Here are some of our favorite suggestions:
Tweet, Tweets, Tweeted | X, X's, X'ed | Xpress, Xpressions, Xpressed | Xeet ("zeet"), Xeets, Xeeted |
Retweet, RT | RX (actually works for both, and reminds me to call my pharmacists) | ReXpress, RX | ReXeet, RX |
Quote Retweet | Quote X | Quote Xpress | Quote Xeet |
Twitterverse | Xverse | Xpress Verse | Xeet Verse |
Twitter Blue | X Blue (works for everything) |
So which new slang are you going with or are you staying loyal to the famous blue bird? Share with us below!
