Digital Media Manager

Position Summary:

The Digital Media Manager will lead paid digital media strategy and go-to-market plans for all media clients. Oversees and mentors the social media team for both paid and organic social media efforts. Responsible for tracking and reporting on the performance of all digital campaigns. 

Background Requirements:

3-5 years in media planning inclusive of digital strategy and digital marketing, client or agency

Preferred 1-2 years managing/supervising personnel 

Deep understanding of paid digital media and experience managing digital campaigns to include programmatic, SEM, social media, etc. 

Experience with tracking campaign performance against KPIs  and interpreting the data to make campaign optimizations and/or recommendations 

Bachelor in Advertising, Marketing, Communications, Social Sciences, Arts Degree preferred

Skill/Knowledge Requirements:

Broad experience across digital and social media tactics is a must, and knowledge of traditional media channels is also needed 

Excellent analysis, reporting and presentation skills

Experience managing SEM campaigns in Ad Words 

Attention to detail especially with spreadsheets and copy editing 

Passion for new/emerging media technologies and ability to engage strategically and tactically across platforms

Excellent written and oral communications skills

Able to collaborate and work well with creative, account and social teams

Strong computer skills (PowerPoint, Keynote, Excel, etc.)

Proven abilities to manage multiple clients and campaigns

Key Responsibilities:

Digital Media Strategy and Planning 

Collaborates with media director and other key team members to develop digital strategies and marketing plans that meet a set of business objectives 

Ability to align KPIs with digital objectives and tracking of performance  

Sends proposal request/media briefs to digital vendors 

Leads the agency’s approach to paid and organic social media 

Keeping up with digital trends, industry benchmarks, platform updates, and best practices to stay on top of the emerging digital space 

Day-to-Day Duties

On-going management of active paid digital and social campaigns 

Answering client questions as it regards to digital and social 

Manage the relationship and communication with digital vendors 


Trafficking digital assets to vendors and overseeing tracking set-up and implementation

Working with the creative team to ensure all digital assets meet the required specs for the various digital platforms 

On-going monitoring and optimizations of SEM campaigns managed in-house 

Explore new digital opportunities and emerging technologies with new digital vendors

Lead and mentor the social media team as it relates to client and agency social media efforts

Attend internal and client meetings as needed  

Reporting

Manage digital reporting needs for all clients to include bi-weekly, monthly, quarterly and post-campaign analysis (varies by client) 

Ensure digital vendors are meeting reporting requirements and deadlines

Utilize reporting platforms like Tapclicks for integrated digital reports  

Provide strategic insights, optimizations, and recommendations as it relates to the performance of digital media campaigns

Prepare presentations and present digital reporting to clients as needed
