As a media professional, there has been so much growth during my career in the world of media advertising. Traditional media vehicles; Television, Spot Radio, Newspaper, Magazines and Billboards, are no longer our only options in the new age of digital marketing, but they are still fundamental and important for brand awareness. As media strategists, it is our expertise to develop the best strategy for the advertiser and understand the role that traditional media tactics play in an overall marketing campaign.

After 10 months of remission, my CANCER is back. When you get the news that it’s returned, you think that the results are incorrect; you did all of the treatments to fight the cancer, how and why is it back?. Then you have to move forward and plan for how to fight this yet again. My plan is this: doctors visits, bloodwork and chemo treatments to attack the cancer again, and this time, conquer it.
For the past 2-3 years, almost all of the media articles have stressed the massive exodus from the traditional to digital. The “other media” have made claims that the audience from the traditional forms were eroding, moving into the digital and social realm.
“You are never too old to set another goal or to dream a new dream.” C.S.Lewis Fate whispers to the warrior. “You cannot withstand the storm” and the warrior whispers back “I am the Storm” I AM THE STORM – I found strength in this quote during the past year. Having cancer and working full time has many times been an uphill battle; however, with a strong support system, you can, as I did, Withstand This STORM and come out the other side to the magic word “Remission”.
